Mom turns 3 score and 16 today (does that sound older or younger than 76? you decide…). I’m always thankful for Mom, not just on her birthday, but birthdays are as good as day as any to sing someone’s praises. So, Mom, thank you for teaching me to love reading, laughing, learning, and God not by lecturing but by the way you live.
Thank you for being so much fun.
Thank you for helping me be a better mom.
Thank you for the unconditional love (which at times, I’m sure has been hard to muster).
Thank you for good genes (admittedly, you had a little help with that).
And thank you most of all just for being, unapologetically, yourself.
I love you.
